About the Role
Join a small engineering team building a B2B SaaS platform for user-led growth. You will own the production infrastructure and reliability foundations that help the team deliver confidently as the product scales.
What You'll Do
• Architect, deploy, and operate AWS infrastructure across compute, messaging, storage, networking, and observability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support automated deployments from commit to production.
• Operate PostgreSQL in production, including configuration, performance tuning, migrations, and backup and restore strategies.
• Make pragmatic tradeoffs between delivery speed and foundational system quality.
• Work with product teams and stakeholders to shape architecture and technical direction.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools where useful in development and delivery workflows.
• Investigate complex distributed-systems issues and deliver reliable solutions at scale.
What We're Looking For
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or founding engineering.
• Deep, hands-on AWS and Terraform experience operating production infrastructure, with a preference for infrastructure managed as code.
• Production PostgreSQL experience, including connection pooling, migrations, optimization, and backup and restore.
• Experience operating high-traffic or highly available production systems.
• Working familiarity with TypeScript and Node.js application code, including NestJS.
• Experience building production CI/CD pipelines and handling distributed-systems concerns such as ordering, idempotency, retries, at-least-once delivery, and partial failures.
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools, alongside the technical judgment to debug and make architecture decisions independently.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills.
