Through education, training, philanthropy, and market research, GTIA promotes industry growth; we are committed to creating an environment where innovation happens, and the opportunities and benefits made possible by technology are available to all.Summary:The Director, Strategic Membership is responsible for driving the expansion of GTIA’s membership base by acquiring new vendors, distributors, and their IT Service Provider partners. This role focuses on building strategic member relationships and partnerships, developing targeted prospecting campaigns, and executing sales initiatives that align with GTIA’s goals of growing membership, member value, and engagement.
The ideal candidate will combine strong business development skills with a deep understanding of the IT channel ecosystem to deliver measurable growth and long-term partner engagement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and Execute Growth StrategyCreate and implement a strategic sales plan to acquire new channel vendors, distributors, MSPs, and ITSPs to expand GTIA’s membership base.Partner AcquisitionIdentify, engage, and onboard high-potential channel organizations through targeted outreach and relationship-building initiatives.Pipeline ManagementBuild and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective members, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely conversion.Relationship ManagementEstablish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers at vendors, distributors, and service providers.Market Research & IntelligenceAnalyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and partner needs to refine acquisition strategies and value propositions.Joint Go-to-Market InitiativesCollaborate with GTIA Vendor, Distributor, and Associate members on co-selling and co-marketing programs to their ITSP partnersSales EnablementProvide prospective members with clear value propositions, ROI analysis, and resources to support decision-making.Performance ReportingTrack and report on acquisition metrics, conversion rates, and revenue impact to the Chief Community Officer.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with marketing, events, and member experience teams to ensure seamless onboarding and engagement of new members.Key Performance MetricsMembership GrowthMember EngagementMember RetentionSkills and QualificationsProven track record of successfully selling to C-level channel executives and business owners, demonstrating the ability to engage in strategic conversations and influence decision-makingThorough knowledge of the IT Channel/MSP landscape and targeted markets that we serveAbility to create and deliver a membership value proposition to a targeted audienceAn outstanding level of attention to detail and qualityStrong ability to work independently and navigate internally within a high-paced, dynamic organizationStrong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and credibility quicklyInitiative to surpass challenging performance goalsDesire to network and travelEducation and/or ExperienceDegree preferred but not required for the role10+ years of direct experience in a related fieldWhy Join Us:We're a team of driven, creative problem-solvers who are passionate about empowering people to realize their full potential.
