- About Magic
- Magic is a leading modern outsourcing platform that connects SMBs to high-quality remote workers, from SDRs to virtual assistants and more. With roots in Silicon Valley and backing from top venture capitalists, our workers are supercharged with a combination of the latest AI technology and training. We came out of Y Combinator in 2015, have grown to 1,000+ remote workers, and are backed by Sequoia Capital with over $30M in funding.
- Background
- Our company came out of Y Combinator in 2015. Since then we've grown to 1000+ remote workers, with strong venture-backing (including Sequoia Capital) and over $30M in funding to date. We are fully remote across Asia and US time zones.

About This Role
- We give you the leads. You close them. That's it.
- Magic is a YC and Sequoia-backed platform that delivers remote talent to U.S. SMBs. We hand our Closing Representatives 50+ warm inbound leads per month — founders and executives who are already looking for what we sell. Your only job is to close them: professionally, consistently, and without excuses.
- If you've been the top closer on your team and you want to prove it somewhere that pays in USD, this is your next role.
What You'll Get
- 50+ warm inbound leads monthly — handed to you, ready to call
- $4,500/month OTE for closers at 100% quota — no ceiling above that
- USD pay, monthly, direct to your account
- Career path: Closing Rep → Senior Closing Rep → Team Lead
- A sales floor (virtual) that rewards output, not hours logged
Your Day-to-Day
- 2–8 inbound discovery calls per day — no dropped balls, ever
- Own every deal from first call to signed contract
- HubSpot pipeline is clean, staged, and current at all times
- Follow up on stalled deals with creativity and persistence
- Hand off closed clients to Onboarding — then close the next one
- Share wins and losses with the team so everyone improves
What We Need From You
Experience
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience where you owned the close — not lead generation
- You have carried quota and hit it. Consistently. Not once.
- B2B SaaS, subscription, outsourcing, or professional services background
- English at C1 or C2 — clear, confident, and natural with U.S. buyers
- Available during US Eastern or Central business hours, Mon–Fri
The Mindset We're Paying For
- You treat every lead like you paid for it out of pocket
- 'Not now' is a deal you are nurturing — not a goodbye
- You update CRM like your income depends on it — because it does
- You ask for feedback and apply it the same day
- You are the first to ask 'what could I do better?' — not the last
Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1 - Prescreening questions that take under 3 minutes. Shortlisted candidates are sent a video assessment via Typeform — 3 prompts, 60–90 seconds each. No live call required at this stage.
- Stage 2 - HR validates your background.
- Stage 3 - Sales Leadership runs a mock discovery scenario and 2 rounds of interviews to see you in action.
- Stage 4 - Decision and offer within 48 hours of this stage.
This Role Is NOT For You If:
- You wait for a manager to set your daily priorities
- You treat 'not now' as a dead end rather than a future deal to nurture
- You blame leads, tools, or the process when results fall short
- You see CRM hygiene as optional admin work
