This role acts as a lead developer on complex projects, contributing to design discussions, ensuring scalable and secure architectures, and supporting junior developers through coaching and technical guidance.IND1 Responsibilities and Essential Duties:Design, develop, and maintain complex MuleSoft applications and APIs using best practices in API-led connectivity.Develop and execute unit tests to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of integrations.Contribute to developing and refining technical specifications, user stories, and solution documentation.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex integration and performance issues.Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications to support integration design.Document technical solutions, lessons learned, and reusable components for ongoing knowledge sharing.Participate in off-hours support rotation that could include monitoring prior to the start of business and providing after-hours support for other time zones.Stay current with MuleSoft and Salesforce platform updates and emerging integration technologies.Lead assigned integration projects, ensuring clear expectations, collaboration, and timely delivery.Provide technical mentorship, peer code reviews, and knowledge sharing across the team.Collaborate with architects and other developers to align integration solutions with system and business objectives.Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery.Handle escalated or complex technical issues and drive root-cause resolution.Contribute to the refinement of development standards, patterns, and team processes that promote efficiency and quality.Participate in technical evaluations and provide input to enhance toolsets, workflows, and documentation practices.Provide end-user support when needed, particularly following larger platform releases.Perform other related duties as assigned to support evolving business needs.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Minimum five (5) years of experience in areas such as cloud computing, API integration, cloud messaging, ground-to-cloud connectivity, and highly scalable distributed systems.Proven experience delivering MuleSoft APIs and integrations in an enterprise environment.MuleSoft certification required (Developer or Integration Architect).Proficiency in Java development, including debugging against REST APIs, SOAP, and Web Services.Hands-on experience designing APIs using RAML and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.Strong understanding of design patterns, SOA, and integration technologies (XML, JMS, WS).Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., CloudHub) and CI/CD pipelines.Skilled in using Java IDEs such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, or NetBeans.Extensive experience integrating with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).Experience profiling Java applications, diagnosing threading issues, and analyzing thread dumps.Solid understanding of API security concepts and performance optimization techniques.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve technically complex issues.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams.Exceptional attention to detail with both creative and analytical thinking abilities.Ability to clearly articulate data model changes, solution designs, and complex technical processes to non-technical audiences.Advanced ability to evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources, identify conflicts, and determine effective resolutions.Excellent project coordination, organizational, and communication skills—both verbal and written.High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills to work effectively with vendors, customers, and all levels of staff.Demonstrated commitment to maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and overall solution quality.Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
