micro1 is engaging Criminal Defense Attorneys to contribute valuable domain expertise to a client-driven project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.
No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
• Review, annotate, and provide feedback on legal documents and criminal court scenarios to ensure accuracy and contextual relevance.
• Create and evaluate hypothetical case analyses, plea agreements, motions, and trial strategies reflective of real-world criminal defense practices.
• Develop detailed explanations of legal reasoning, evidentiary considerations, and procedural steps in criminal defense contexts.
• Assess system-generated content for legal soundness, clarity, and ethical compliance.
• Craft clear, concise written responses and verbal explanations to complex legal queries.
• Collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary team to calibrate and refine AI model outputs.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in legal data quality and project methodologies.

Qualifications
• Active license to practice law and substantial experience in criminal defense.
• Demonstrated expertise in criminal law, trial advocacy, and case strategy.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to analyze complex fact patterns, legal arguments, and evidentiary issues.
• Experience drafting and reviewing motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Strong commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
• Comfort working independently in a fully remote, project-based engagement.
