Role and Responsibilities:The Director, General Education is part of the College academic leadership team and provides strategic leadership and oversight of General Education Program and is responsible for understanding and implementing sound business and leadership principles. This role provides support and mentoring to GE Leaders and Faculty, and oversees the administration, teaching, and evaluation of learners in the College’s general education courses as well as enhancement of faculty performance through supervision, training, and support. The incumbent coordinates cross functionally to analyze learner and faculty data to ensure proper general education course academic progress and learner satisfaction outcomes. The incumbent is accountable for planning and managing faculty learner loads and assignments.
Utilization of principles of dynamic budgeting and management to ensure efficient resource management. The incumbent also stewards the promotion and support of an environment conducive to innovation, positive thinking, and growth, in alignment with the College’s mission, values, guiding principles and other institutional frameworks.Qualifications and Education Requirements:7-10 years in experience in higher education, preferably online and hybrid education.3 - 5 years teaching adult learners (online, non-traditional preferred).5 -7 years of faculty management and leadership experience.PhD or EdD, Masters’ degree with advanced coursework, from an accredited institution of higher learning.3-5 years of faculty management and leadership experience.Experience working with underserved and vulnerable learner populations in higher education workforce focused settings, health care industry experience is preferred.Experience with higher education accreditation, assessment, and accountability policies and practices.Expertise in utilizing academic outcomes and college operational data to achieve improvements.Faculty learner load forecasting experience is preferred.Budget planning and management experience is required. Dynamic budgeting experience is preferred.Experience in managing complex academic operations in high growth environments.Experience establishing and leading education focused doctoral programs. Budgeted Hiring Range$110,000—$120,000 USDAll new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah.
