Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California and have at least 1 year of workers' compensation defense experience. Candidates with 3+ years of defense experience are strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Represent employers, insurers, and related clients in workers' compensation defense matters.

• Independently manage a caseload from assignment through resolution.

• Handle depositions, hearings, negotiations, and settlement conferences.

• Evaluate claims, analyze exposure, and develop practical litigation strategies.

• Communicate proactively with clients regarding case status and recommendations.

• Prepare pleadings, motions, legal research, and other litigation documents.

• Collaborate with experienced attorneys to achieve efficient, favorable outcomes.

• Utilize a fully paperless, technology-driven practice to manage cases remotely.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license.

• 1+ year of workers' compensation defense experience.

• 3+ years of workers' compensation defense experience preferred.

• Ability to independently manage litigation files.

• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
