The Opportunity Working remotely in London with others in The London Free Press newsroom, the ideal candidate is a graduating journalism student or recent graduate, able to meet the twin demands of speed and quality as a multi-media journalist and move up a fast learning curve. An enterprising self-starter and team player, you have a sense for stories that resonate with London’s diverse readership. The candidate must work to tight deadlines, in clear, concise writing that engages readers, covering a wide range of news, entertainment and other subjects.
A key asset is the ability to use digital tools to break and develop stories and ideas. The reporting term is for three months ending in late August, working a five-day week that includes partial weekend and stat holiday shifts.
Start Rate is $917/week
This is a unionized position subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement. The starting salary listed in this job posting is based on the Year 1 rate outlined in the collective agreement. Offers will be made based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
