In this role, you will showcase your experience as a thought leader and trusted advisor to the life sciences industry. As a senior leader in the advisory team, the Managing Director achieves success by securing profitable business through sourcing, selling, and leading projects, designing novel and innovative solutions for clients, and contributing to firm growth and development. The Managing Director will contribute to setting business direction and strategy, thought leadership, and the overall growth and scalability of the advisory business.JOB DUTIES: Key Responsibilities:Business Ownership and GrowthAs a recognized Market Access subject matter expert, advises ; cultivates a strong understanding of clients’ needs, translates these into bespoke service offeringsSource from their own network, secure and lead a $3 million annual book of business; develop comprehensive to achieve and exceed revenue targets, deliver compelling pitches, and lead contract negotiations to secure business dealsOversee the design, development and implementation of solutions to drive success on every engagement for the clientGenerate thought leadership to capitalize on industry trends and develop innovative solutions and capabilitiesTeam LeadershipServe as the steward of team and company culture; foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growthDevelop and maintain a high performing global team, above and beyond individual contributions of sales and book of businessLead and develop multiple delivery teams across various accounts to successfully deliver projects with “right first time” qualityLead firm-building initiatives, individual and team development, and annual strategic business planning activitiesCollaborate in the continued growth and development of Red Nucleus[Functional Area Requirements]Deep knowledge of market access for biopharmaceutical products, particularly in oncology and rare diseasesDemonstrated leadership skills within life sciences, healthcare, or other related agency or consulting organizationsAbility to drive Business Development independently, with a track record of selling quality projects to clients in the life sciences industryExperience in developing relationships with senior-level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industryProven ability to manage large-scale and/or multiple projects, meeting deadlines and ensuring high quality outcomesStrong ability to work independently and as part of a teamIntellectually curious with an affinity for problem solving and innovationExperience leading multi-disciplinary teams.Excellent presentation and client-facing skills, including leading presentations, chairing meetings, and facilitating workshopsInterpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organization to accomplish team goalsRigorous attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated ability in relevant soft skills, including change management, continuous improvement, conflict resolution, and consensus buildingJOB REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business-related fields; Advanced degree in the Life Sciences, and/or MBA preferredExperience:10+ years in management consulting, advisory and/or strategy and change management specifically for Life Sciences and Market AccessA strong history of successfully selling, delivering and growing consulting or agency revenues with a track record of sourced sales exceeding at least $3 million in the previous 2-3 yearsDemonstrated experience and expertise in Value, Access and EvidenceSkills:Executive presenceExceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to leverage external networks to improve market positioningIdentify and pursue new business development opportunitiesAbility to lead client work and accountsAbility to attract, retain, mentor and grow team membersAbility to become a trusted partner to all levels of clients (from Director to C-suite)Must have a collaborative and team-based mind-setProficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, (demonstrated expertise in Word, PowerPoint and Excel)Must have the ability to manage work-life balance for oneself and be able to mentor team accordingly for themselvesMust be capable of leading complex engagements with superior practice-build and client relationship management skillsThis job description has been designed to capture the essential functions of this job.
