Job Description

Remote · Full-Time Contractor · Long-Term · Global

UltraServers provides high-performance Minecraft hosting at fair, competitive pricing.

Our product is strong. Our challenge is making more of the right customers find us, understand us, trust us, choose the right plan, and complete the purchase.

We are looking for a hands-on Growth & Conversion Lead to improve the full commercial journey: positioning, landing pages, plan presentation, pricing pages, shopping cart flow, comparison content, organic acquisition, reporting, and conversion improvement.

This is not just an SEO role.

This is not just a content role.

This is not a social media management role.

This is not a strategy-deck role.

We need someone who can look at the whole buying journey, spot friction, write clearly, prioritise commercially, work with our internal team, and keep shipping improvements.

What you’ll own

• Improve the customer journey from first visit to completed order.

• Review and improve landing pages, plan pages, pricing pages, comparison pages, and checkout flow.

• Make our Minecraft hosting plans easier to understand, compare, and buy.

• Prepare us to launch a wider portfolio of games.

• Identify where visitors are dropping off and recommend practical fixes.

• Improve positioning against larger Minecraft hosting competitors.

• Grow qualified acquisition through SEO, content, comparison pages, referrals, partnerships, and selective paid search.

• Use GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Microsoft Clarity to understand behaviour and measure results.

• Work with the internal team to brief, prioritise, and ship site/cart improvements.

• Write or improve website copy directly.

• Publish or prepare blog/social content where useful.

• Build a practical 6–12 month growth roadmap.

• Report weekly on what changed, what was learned, and what should happen next.

What success looks like

First 30 days

• Audit the current customer journey from homepage to checkout.

• Review analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs data, Microsoft Clarity, pricing pages, plan pages, checkout flow, and competitor sites.

• Understand Minecraft hosting buyers: server owners, modded server users, community admins, parents buying hosting for children, comparison shoppers, and performance-sensitive users.

• Identify the biggest conversion blockers.

• Identify the highest-impact acquisition opportunities.

• Recommend quick wins for copy, plan presentation, CTAs, trust signals, cart clarity, and competitor positioning.

• Define the first reporting dashboard.

First 90 days

• Ship meaningful improvements to core website messaging and plan presentation.

• Improve the pricing/plan comparison experience.

• Improve at least one key cart or checkout friction point.

• Build or improve commercially useful landing/comparison pages.

• Establish simple weekly reporting around traffic, rankings, conversion, funnel drop-off, and acquisition quality.

• Deliver a six-month roadmap based on evidence, not guesswork.

Over 6–12 months

• Improve conversion from qualified visitors to customers.

• Grow qualified traffic from relevant acquisition channels.

• Make UltraServers easier to compare against competitors.

• Reduce friction in the buying journey.

• Build a repeatable process for testing, measuring, and shipping growth improvements.

What we’re looking for

You may be a strong fit if you have:

• Proven experience improving website conversion, signup rate, checkout completion, or paid customer acquisition.

• Strong commercial judgement.

• Experience with landing pages, pricing pages, plan comparison pages, checkout/cart flows, or SaaS/ecommerce funnels.

• Good understanding of SEO and search intent, without treating traffic as the only goal.

• Clear copywriting ability.

• Comfort using GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, and heatmap/session-recording tools.

• Ability to turn user behaviour and data into practical recommendations.

• Experience working hands-on in a small team without needing a large agency or department.

• Strong written communication.

• A bias toward outcomes over marketing theatre.

Useful but not essential:

• Experience in hosting, gaming, Minecraft, SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, VPNs, ecommerce, subscriptions, or other competitive online services.

• Basic comfort with HTML, Markdown, GitHub, issue trackers, or working directly with developers.

• Experience marketing to technical, sceptical, or comparison-shopping audiences.

• Experience improving checkout/cart flows or self-service purchase journeys.

This role is not for someone who mainly wants to

• Manage social media.

• Run brand-awareness campaigns.

• Coordinate agencies.

• Produce strategy decks.

• Manage a team.

• Write generic AI content at scale.

• Run paid ads before the website, offer, and tracking are ready.

• Avoid hands-on execution.

Role details

• Location: Remote, global.

• Time zone: Must have reliable working overlap with Europe and India.

• Commitment: Around 40 hours per week.

• Contract type: Long-term independent contractor.

Compensation: Competitive senior contractor rate based on skills, experience, location, and evidence of previous results.

• Tools currently available: GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Microsoft Clarity.

• Main site: No CMS currently; core site changes are implemented with the internal team.

• Blog/social: Direct publishing access may be provided where appropriate.

• Applicants: Individual contractors only. We are not looking for an agency or outsourced team.
