About the Role
We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to support the purchasing team by following up on open purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, confirming order details, and tracking deliveries. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials arrive on time.
Key
Responsibilities
• Obtain supplier confirmations for purchase orders.
• Verify quantities, pricing, and delivery dates against purchase orders.
• Update order status, confirmed dates, and shipment details in the ERP system.
• Regularly follow up with suppliers regarding open orders and upcoming deliveries.
• Track shipments and ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Expedite late or urgent orders when required.
• Identify and report delays, shortages, pricing discrepancies, and other order issues.
• Communicate order and delivery updates to Planning, Manufacturing, Receiving, and Quality teams.
• Maintain open-order reports, supplier records, and purchasing documentation.
• Support receiving activities and invoice discrepancy resolution.
• Complete other purchasing-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, order management, supply chain, procurement, or customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong follow-up and communication skills.
• Experience working with an ERP system is preferred.
•
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a timely manner.
• Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience in dietary supplements, food, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing is a plus.
